Obituary of Alan David Reynolds

Alan David Reynolds Alan Reynolds, 66, passed away August 9, 2011, in Seattle, Washington. He was born April 15, 1945, in Los Angeles, California to Maxine and Alfred Reynolds. He was a U.S. Marine from 1966 to 1968, and saw action in Vietnam. Alan received a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from USC Los Angeles, and worked for several LA architectural firms. He later received a Master of Divinity degree in 1984 from General Theological Seminary in New York City and served as an Episcopal Priest from 1985 until his death. He married Elaine Hartman in 1971 in Los Angeles; although they later divorced, they remained friends until she passed away. Alan married Cynthia Ruth Egan on August 7, 1999 in Hoodsport, Washington, where they resided for 18 years before his death. Alan will be remembered for his laughter, practical jokes and other silly things. He was a lifelong learner, constantly studying theology, psychology and related subjects. In addition, he loved gardening and doing projects around the house. Alan is survived by his wife; son, Todd Reynolds; stepson, Jeffrey Pearson; daughter, Audra Reynolds; stepdaughter, Kristin Barnes; half sister, Janet; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Jakob, Natalie, Josiah, Jacob, Johnathon, Howard.
