Walter Reule
Walter Reule passed away July 24, 2009 in Reno, NV surrounded by family. Walt was born to Jake and Emma (Wutzke) Reule in Denhoff, ND on May 20, 1924. He spent his early years in ND until he joined the Navy in 1943. Once discharged from the Navy, he moved out to Tenino, WA, where he met his wife Shirley (Boling) and they were married in 1950. He worked for the Highways Dept. in Tumwater and retired in 1980. Walt is survived by his wife Shirley; son, Patrick (Lori); daughter, Cheryl; brother, Jim (Alice) Munns; sister, Fern (Jim) Eade; granddaughters, Mindie and Kerry Reule, Erica (Joe) Munro, Megan and Ashley Carlstad; great-granddaughter, Madelyn and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Walt belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he devoted his time and held many local and state offices including State President. He was also a member of the Tenino VFW. In addition to the FOE, Walt will be remembered for his love of the Mariners, coaching women's softball and building birdhouses for charities.
A memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Centralia Eagles Hall.
