Obituary of A. Ron Reines

Ron passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 after a long illness. He was born in Tacoma on November 29, 1933 to Arild and Bertha Reines. He attended Stadium High School and graduated from Sumner High School in 1951.He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and trained to be an electrician. He served on the USS Missouri. Ron worked as an electrician, retiring in 1991 from Olympia Electric. During his time off, Ron loved to play golf and was a fantastic gardener, and always had a ‘project’ he was working on. He was unstoppable. He loved to spend winters in Wickenberg, Arizona where he loved playing poker with his buddies and gold prospecting. Ron is survived by 3 sons, Greg of Missoula, Montana and Rick and John, both of Olympia; 3 grandsons, Cory, Geoffrey and Christopher; and The ‘Love of his life for 14 years, Dorothy Powell, and his brother John Reines of Tacoma.
