Obituary of Peter J. Rauth

Rauth Peter Joseph Rauth, 94, of Olympia, Washington, died Saturday June 9, 2007 at his home. Mr. Rauth was born April 19, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois to Peter and Katherine (Mayer) Rauth. He graduated from Lane Technical High School, Chicago in 1930. He married the former Teresa V. Koenig on October 10, 1936 in Chicago. She died in 1999. From June 1942 to August 2005 the couple lived in Elmhurst, Illinois. Peter was a lithographer at R. R. Donnelley & Sons. He enjoyed rock hounding, lapidary arts and cars. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Rauth Schmidt (spouse, Harry Field) of San Diego, California, Kathleen Rauth Manning (spouse, Carl A. Manning) Olympia, Washington; one sister, Catherine Rauth Delaney, Atlanta, Georgia; also three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. We will miss this kind and loving father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle and friend. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2007 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
