So sorry for your family’s loss. I have treasured memories of Ray from my college days when he helped me buy my first car and drove it up to Bellingham for me where Scott helped me learn to drive it! Even those many years ago, I still remember Ray sharing his love of Jesus and his light shines bright every time I saw him!

There are no words to describe how deeply we all feel this loss. Uncle Ray was a big part of our lives growing up (really, all the Lohrs were!). He was always interested in what you had to say, and made you feel like your story was the most important thing in the world in the moment you were telling it. I’m sorry that time and distance pulled me apart from the Lohr family – they are, and always will be, part of my family. I love you all so dearly.

I think about you everyday & I miss you a lot. I’m sorry I didn’t get to talk to you or say good-bye, but I know I will see you soon & until then I love & miss you!!! So many are coming home now & Heaven must be bustling up there with all the activity…until we meet again!!

I am missing you so much. I wish I could pick up the phone and just call you and hear your witty personality. Katie hit another home run this past weekend and I just wanted to call and tell you. Each day is to get easier … But I am having a hard time grasping that because I miss you so much. I don’t think I ever really told you what you meant to me. You were more than just a brother. You were such an important role model in my life and my kids. Thank you for always just loving me just the way I am. I never had to change or be something I wasn’t. You touched so many people’s lives. You, Sandy, Scott and Jeff have always meant the world to me. You guys coming home for Christmas was more exciting than Santa Claus coming. We all miss you, Ray. But, knowing you are at peace and out of pain gives me some comfort. And, I know I will see you again. I look forward to that day. Until then ….

I can’t even begin to articulate what my dad meant to me, he was part of my daily life and the support he gave me and my family will be greatly missed. I’m not sure how I will fill in the gaps now left from his early departure from this earth but I can be reassured he’s looking down on us and his light will still shine bright. My father’s death has been the hardest thing in my life to deal with and I can only hope with time the pain will ease and I can focus on all fond memories we shared together. I want to thank all the support we have received from family and friends through this difficult time…..you will not be forgotten.

We’re missing Ray today and can’t grasp the reality that he is gone from this life. But, praise God, because of Jesus, we will see him again!

Ray was one-of-a-kind! He was always there for my family and will be deeply missed by us. He was a selfless man. I remember an occasion where he dropped what he was doing to drive up to White pass and rescue my family when our car broke down as we headed for a family vacation. That was only one of the many times he bailed us out. I love being around him. He brought out the best in people. We will miss him!

Thanks Ray for all the love you showed our family throughout all these years there we knew you. Our cars always got fixed with love and we knew the job would be thorough. We will miss your smiling face and your love for your family and friends. My favorite song that you and Sandy sang together was “Why Me Lord” by Kris Kristofferson. We got to hear him in person in February and you did it better. I can still hear you singing it! Bless your memory and blessings to your family and friends in the days to come! I could go on this is long enough! You will be sooo missed!

Ray was such an amazing kind hearted man. Every time I had the pleasure of seeing him he always brightened my day with his calm, kind, knowlegable words. He will be so dearly missed. But I know that he is at peace and able to rest with his Lord today. Bless his soul, he will be missed

Ray used to work on my car in the 80’s. The Erdahl’s introduced us at a banquet at Peace Lutheran Church. I always appreciated his mechanic skills. But I most appreciated seeing the love between Ray and Sandy! Rest In Peace, Ray. We will all see you again in Heaven.
