Obituary of Madeline F. Prange

Madeline Frances Prange Madeline F. Prange, 91 of Olympia, died April 28, 2009. She was born September 30, 1917 to Frank E. and Lina (Simpson) Hallman in Santa Fe, Isle of Pines. She graduated from Hollywood High School and then took business courses to become a legal secretary. With her legal training she worked in Fresno, California. Prior to moving to Olympia, Madeline lived in Fresno, CA and Hoodsport. In 1937 she married Garrett Prange in Los Angeles, California. He preceded her in death. Among her many interests were golfing in Arizona each winter after retiring, square dancing, knitting, camping and hiking with her husband and daughters, Nancy and Karen. Madeline is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kohncke of Olympia; 3 grandchildren; also 5 great grandchildren. Including her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Britton. At her request there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Olympia Senior Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, Olympia, WA 98501.
