When I think of Andrea, I will smile and not cry. She would want it that way. She always knew how to make the best of any situation, even when we hated out jobs on the boat. I will miss her and can't believe she is gone and hope to see her in heaven, where I know she is cracking everyone up!

Sherry & Erin, I so wished I could be there with you when I heard of Andrea's passing. I wanted to get in my car and travel to Washington right then. My heart just sank as Dad gave me the news. How I would have loved to have been there with you at Andrea's memorial however circumstances at home would not allow it. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless and comfort you. Love Always-your Sis and Aunt

In the short period that I knew Andrea she gave me a new outlook on life. She was one of the strongest people that I ever met. Her strength and determination was more than most people could even dream about having.

I first met Andrea on the Mississippi Queen when I was 18 and she was 19. I was so scared because this was the first time that I was away from home. Andrea took me under her wing and showed me the ropes even though we started on the same day. She was a faster learner than I was. Ha Ha. We became good friends fast. We met back up in Alaska a few years later. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that she gave the good fight. Even though her life was short, it was full. I can only imagine the wonderful time she is having in Heaven.

Erin and Sherry; I am sorry that you have lost Andrea at such a young age. For the short time that I was her big sister I saw so much talent in her and I knew that whatever she put her heart into doing that she would excel. Andrea is such a talented individual. I have thought of her many times and wondered where and what is happening in her life. I am so saddened that this is how I found her. But, I do know that there now is a wonderful Angel in Heaven looking down on both you Erin and Sherry. Even though Andrea has left she will never be forgotten.

I would like to express my condolences to the family of Andrea Peterson. What a difficult time it is when we lose our loved one in death. Andrea will be greatly missed.
What can help us cope? When I lost my mother to cancer at a young age, I found comfort from God's Word the Holy Bible. A scripture that was of tremendous help to me is Revelation 21:4, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." What a beautiful scripture. God's promise of a time when there will be no more pain, suffering, or death. I hope this verse will be a comfort to you, as it has been to me.
A booklet that has greatly helped me find comfort from the Bible, at the time of my lose is entitled, "When Someone You Love Dies..." I would be happy to send you a copy. Just let me know through my email address vaughanamende@yahoo.com.
Again, my deepest sympathies to the family of Andrea Peterson.
Sincerely,
Vaughan

Life is so interesting how we all weave in and out of each others lives, constantly impacting each other. I'm sorry that for some time I was absent but very happy to have gotten back in touch this past year. I hope you and your family realize the impact you've had on others' lives; whether it was expressed to you straight forward or just admiration from afar. A past memory that I'd like to share; I was never much of a golfer but I was fortunate to be on the team with you at T.J. If it wasn't for the joy of your humor and the other few girls who comprised our team (though most of us were not experienced at all the way you were), there's no way I would have survived long days after school standing in the cold rain chasing the tiny white ball. Your patience, laugh and leadership made it fun enough to stay despite the conditions. You were able to break my crankiness and make me laugh even on the worst of days. Thank you for that and for the memory being a happy one every time I think of you. I'm so sorry that you had to experience pain and frustration for so long, I hope you had someone close to help make you laugh the way you did for us. May you rest in peace.

Andrea’s life is like an infamous song. It starts off slow with a breathtaking melody that gets trapped in your soul and then reaches a huge climax where in the end it leaves you wanting more, with a standing ovation. I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU. I couldn't have asked God for a better best friend or aunt for my children. Your smile was radiant and your laugh contagious. May God enjoy your sense of humor and the love that you give to those around you. Our entire family will greatly miss you.

Andrea, From the 1st day I met you onboard the SPICA, there was always a lovely smile on your face that brightened up the room. Your wonderful gift of making everyone around you feel special stood you apart from all others. I think of you often. You were too young to leave this world, although I know, gone will be the pain and suffering you went through for so long. We will all miss you terribly. You were a precious gift from GOD to all of us. Thanks for sharing a part of your life with me. Love the "Chicken Lady" - The nickname you gave me.

Andrea~The news of your passing came as a shock. The disbelief, shock, and heartbreak that you were gone was overwhelming. My immediate reaction was to be strong and hide the sadness that was so prevelant inside. Be strong for your mom and Dean, be strong for my mom, be strong for my children. I thought crying or letting them know how devastated I was would only make things worse.
You were so greatly loved by so many people.
The past few days have been filled with memories of you growing up and all of the interesting stories told by your mother. Your successes and adventures always held a spot in my heart.
I have a list of memories with you that bring a smile to my face. Thank you for being part of my life!
Dean, Sherry, and Erin~ The most important thing I can say to each of you is "I Love You" There are no words that will ease your pain and I would do anything to make this easier for you. Walking into the living room the day after Andrea's passing and seeing the grief-stricken faces of the one's I love so dearly was one of the hardest things I have had to deal with in my life. I wish I could take that pain away.
I love you!

I may have not been able to see in the past years. But I will always remember the times Bev her and I had together. All the trys we made to win tickits to shows. The time andrea and I won tickits to 98 and we stayed up all night lol trying to find out who they where as we had no idea. We met them at the hard rock in seattle. Then had to drive as fast as we could to eastern washington to see the show. I think that summer she won 4 times to see ppl. And that summer and that will always be the good things i will remember about her. Her willingness to just get up and go at the drop of a hat. I love you and will forever be in my thoughts. Sammy

I keep expecting you to walk down the hall any minute, or to walk into your room and find you at your computer making yet another crazy video. I know the last few weeks were rough on you, they were rough on us all. You were in an insane amount of pain. Now your pain is gone. No more 'Profesor Klump' feet, no more pain. Go run that marathon baby sis! I love you so much!

I live in New York, so I never met Andrea--but she definitely touched my life. She and her friend Nichole made a video for me and my friend Dave about a year ago, and we have all corresponded via email ever since. She would leave me the most encouraging and positive comments and messages, despite all that she was going through. She was a fantastic person, and I will miss her.

Andrea will always be remember by me a warm, loving and special person. For the last 5 years Andrea had been living with Lyme Disease but she never aloud it to become her identity. She was determined to stay Andrea and never be that sick girl. She always kept a smile on her face and always lite up any room she entered. She touched the lives of many people and always new how to make each one of them feel special. She was creative, imaginitive, and brilliant. I will miss her always.
