Obituary of Gloria J. Petersen

Gloria J. Petersen Beloved mother, Gloria J. Petersen, 81, of Winlock, WA passed from natural causes Thursday, March 12, 2009. Born May 6, 1927 to Albert L. and Blanch ( Howard) McCarter in Port Gamble, WA. Gloria married Otto Mads Petersen in June 1949. Otto passed in 1994. For 20 years, Gloria worked as a bookkeeper for Foss Launch and Tug in Sitka, Alaska. Her interests were politics and she loved being with her friends and family. She is survived by two sons, Steven O. Petersen of Winlock, WA and Charles V. Petersen of Napavine, WA; two daughters, Debbie Urias of Yacolt, WA and Honore Wright of Matlock, WA; brother, Joe McCarter of Oroville, CA; sister, Joy Adams, of Sequim, WA. She is also endeared by many nieces, nephews, 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Memorial donations may be given to the Disabled American Veterans.
