Obituary of Emogene Peel

Emogene Peel Gene passed away October 12, 2011 in Centralia, Washington, at age 84. She was born November 11, 1926 in Slater, Missouri, to Paulie and Lola Perrin. She married Roland Peel on September 24, 1941 in Slater. She lived in Colorado for 45 years, and was a resident of Centralia Manor for 26 years. Gene was a kind person who never had an enemy. Everyone who met her loved her. She loved to travel, even if it was just a drive in the mountains. She made many trips to Vegas and Reno. She was an avid gambler who loved her pull tabs, slots and, for those who knew her favorite word, BINGO! She would never miss a game, even if hell were to freeze over! She also took a couple of cruises with friends and family, including a trip to Hawaii. She loved spending time with the family, no matter what the reason: meeting for breakfast, dinner, a grandkid’s sporting event, or even horse events. She was always up for anything. Gene loved her sisters dearly, and enjoyed her recent visit with them, even if it wasn’t exactly how she wanted it. She knew they were there for her TO THE VERY END. We will miss her, but we know she is with her husband, sister, and mother in Heaven, having a long-awaited family reunion. She is survived by sons, Robert Peel, Ralph Peel and Melvin Peel; daughters, Doris Walker, Karla Valentine, and Barbara Level; sisters, Mildred “Elizabeth” Fizer and Cecil Mae Stephens; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Patricia Gamble. Please leave memories of Gene or condolences for the family in the Guestbook below.
