Obituary of Alice Maureen Pearson

Alice Maureen Pearson February 8, 1914 – November 23, 2005 Alice Pearson was born to Cleta and Ollie Hayes in Indianapolis, Indiana, February 8, 1914. She retired from Civil Service at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana in 1982 after working for 29 years. She lived in Fortville, Indiana most of her life and moved to Lacey, Washington in 1995 to live with Jan and Rick Sanders, her daughter and son-in-law. She is survived by 1 daughter, Jan, and son-in-law, Rick of Lacey; 3 brothers, Lewis of Florida, Paul and Don of Indiana; 2 grandchildren, Allison Cavanaugh and husband David, and Rusty Sturgeon and wife, Nicole; 4 great grandsons, Joel, Jacob, Rory, and Taylor. She was a life member of the Fortville Methodist Church. She was past matron of Eastern Star, Chapter #149, Fortville, Indiana and a life member of O.E.S., Tyler Chapter, Tacoma, Washington. She enjoyed going to nursing homes and senior citizen centers, teaching crafts to seniors as well as to many of her friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held at the Portland Avenue Evangelical Free Church, Tacoma on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.
