Obituary of Dennis C. Paulson

No Visitation Dennis C. Paulson, 66, passed away of Cancer at his home in Olympia on February 15, 2008. Dennis was born January 27, 1942 to Roy and Grace Paulson in Ashland, Wisconsin. He spent his childhood in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1960.On March 3, 1962 Dennis married Joyce Bergman in Washburn, Wisconsin. 43 years ago they moved to Olympia, where they raised a family while he worked as a Corrections Officer for the Department of Corrections. He retired from his career as a Lieutenant in 1995. When he wasn’t working, Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; 3 daughters, Lisa Plaquet, Laurie Taylor (Doug), and Brenda Turner (Marty); six grandchildren, Larissa Plaquet, Stephanie Taylor, Stacie Taylor, Kristen Taylor, Justin Taylor, Dylan Turner; a brother Perry Paulson; and a sister Mary Ann Zifko. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Grace; his grandparents Paul and Ann Paulson, and Louis and Marion Zipperer; and his brother, Jim Paulson. He will be missed by his family and friends, but we know he has found a great fishing spot to retire to. Memorial Donations may be made to Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice.
