Patricia Parsons

Obituary of Patricia Arlene Parsons

Mom is now “Somewhere over the Rainbow.” On November 17th, she went to her mansion in Heaven to be with Jesus. A loving family was left behind: her loving husband Don; her first son Jeff and wife Tami; and Mike and his wife Stefani; her grandchildren Devin and his wife Mallory; Mandi and her fiancé John; Jessica and her husband Mitch; Dylan her OSU football star; Taylor her singing angel, and her new great grandbaby Olivia. She will be missed by many: the Thompson chicks, a dog named Teddy and so many others whose lives were touched by mom. Awaiting her in heaven are her dad and mom, younger brother and mom’s little girl who left us just after she was born. Centralia was where her journey started. Dad was the football star and mom the cheerleader at Centralia High School. Mom and dad married on December 7, 1957. Mom was a floral designer for over 30 years. Her amazing floral designs radiate her loving spirit in thousands of homes throughout Washington. Mom loved Christmas and she loved to give gifts. Every gift was from her heart. Never was a special day for me, or any other family member, not greeted with her love of giving. “Pain is unavoidable, but misery is optional,” is what mom would tell dad as she endured nine different surgeries over the years. Mom chose the option of being positive and cheerful as she spread the goodness of Jesus with everyone she met. Mom will be missed by many and thought of often. “Well done good and faithful servant!” Good-bye for now… we love you… all of us!
