You may remember me from grade and Middle school at Tumwater. I was reading on in this website and saw a familar last name and then I saw your name. I remember your sister taking us out bowling, what a trip. My condolences to you and your family. You were lucky to have such a strong beautiful person to call your mother.

We just learned of Meryl's passing. She was one of the most fascinating people we have ever have ever met! She definitely left her mark in this world....a very wonderful mark! She will be missed by all. The history of our initial meeting is quite funny - she once referred to our relationship to the Board of Directors at United Way as a very "intimate" relationship. What she was referring to is the fact that we met in old St. Peter's Hospital when I was delivering my first child and she was delivering her last! And we met once again when we moved to Scott Lake many years later.

Mom, you were loved by so many people. We had a great gathering of people at the house after the service! More people than I anticipated. However, there was more food than even that crowd could eat! We shared many wonderful, funny and heartfelt stories. You would have loved it! I love you until the end of time.

Dear Aunt Meryl,
I know that you are seeing these words as I send you this little note from my heart. Thank you for always keeping the family together, I don't think over the years that all of us would have kept in touch the way that we did if it wasn't for you and the way you conveyed that family is so important. I have wonderful memories that span my whole life of all of us together, what an incredible blessing. Love, Erin

I was happy to see her before I left to California. We grew up so close to all the Parsons who can forget all those good times! From the trips to Montana, the 4th of July parties and the family gatherings in Scott Lake. Meryl's home was always open and I remember dropping in whenever I passed by. Meryl will be missed.

I served as a CASA with Meryl and we were very close. She was a wonderful, wonderful person. Everyone liked her and valued her wonderful compassionate qualities that made her such a good CASA.
She really helped a lot of people and the children.
I did not know she was ill as I was out of it having colon surgery myself and was so shocked and saddened to learn my darling friend was gone.
Although I have not met any of you except the sweet grandson, my heart goes out especially to him and to all of you.

Meryl was such a cool lady with a great sense of humor. She was the kind of lady that everyone wanted to have for a mother. I remember staying at the Parsons' family home many a night and everyday was an adventure. Especially Friday's during lent when we ate fish balls! The last time I saw Meryl was about three months ago up at Family Court as I was filing legal documents for my boss. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.

My sincere condolences to the family. I met Meryl at the City of Tumwater in 1971 and our paths crossed many times. I have admired her spirit from the first moment I met her. In many respects she was a mentor of mine. She influenced my life in a very positive way. I will miss her. She was a blessing...
I consider her daughter Theresa one of my best friends. Please remember the good times.

I will sure miss Meryl at our Sunday Brunch Bunch. I'm so thankful that she was able to make it in September. She was one of the nicest, caring people I have ever met. I will miss her smile and her great stories. I do know that she is watching over her family still and she is still taking care of all of the children in her new home. Thanks to her family for sharing her with us. Cindy
