Shirley was always a great person. She gave me a safe haven when I really needed one. I have many memories of hanging out at the green house, drinking pespi, watching whatever and talking the day away. If we ran out of milk that was ok but if someone drank the last pepsi, look out!! My heart goes out to you all, I know what an important part she played in all your lives, including my childrens. She fought the big fight for many years and she was always all smiles. What an amazing woman. We can all learn something form her. God Bless you all and goodbye Shirley. You left a mark on us all.

Doug: I'm so sorry for your loss. Shirley was one in a million and I always enjoyed visiting with her. I didn't realize until I read the obit that I had worked with her mother, Marguerite, many years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Shirley was a very personable and classy lady. We enjoyed her company and are sadden by her passing. We knew she was dealing with the big 'C' over the years. We will miss her, and our thoughts and prayers are with you, Doug, and Shirley's brothers and sisters, and her children's families.

To the Winders children: Shirley was our across-the-hall neighbor at East Bay Harbor condos. She was a great neighbor, always friendly and cheerful, even during times when she wasn't feeling well. To Bill: please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your sister.
