Kathy - as you know, I have many memories of Gary and I will always treasure them. Gary was a man that, with his quiet strength and his ability to always remain calm in all situations, was truly and asset to his friends and family. He was always there for anyone who needed him and I will miss him sorely. And, as you also know, I will always be there for you if ever you need anything because Gary would have wanted that.

When we count our blessings, our friendship with Gary and Kathy is always on the list. Gary was such a NICE man!! Generous with his time and patient with all our "computer" questions. I will always remember his wonderful smile and the twinkle in his eyes. He loved Kathy so much, and treasured his times with Brian and Kerri and their families, especially those grandsons!! He will be missed by all who knew him. Our love to Kathy and their family...

My heart will always remember the grandest man I've ever known. There are memories too numerous to list; however, the trip to Puerto Vallarta will be a highlight. As per his usual nature, he never mentioned to me that he couldn't be in sunlight and heat while planning what I thought to be an exciting adventure for the 3 of us. So, he patiently and quietly went out only in very early hours to photograph gorgeous pictures (later given in a calendar to me) and then patiently and quietly waited inside the cool condo until Kathy and I returned for late afternoon conversation and dinnertime. I have thanked God many, many times for the joy and wonderful life he gave to Kathy and her family. May God bless and support all of them with this tragic loss and comfort them with their wonderful memories. I loved him too.

There are special people that come into your live that are truly kind and giving. Gary is one of those. To be taken from us at such a young age is hard to understand and accept. We will always retain the comfort in looking back and knowing that he was loved and returned that love with kindness to everyone that new him. Gary was always there to help anyone that needed a helping hand and will be deeply missed, he will however remain in our hearts with fond memeories.

Kathy,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Gary coming into your classroom at Bordeaux and joking that he couldn't wait for my son, Ryan to graduate from high school so they could go into some kind of computer business together. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

After our visits with Gary (and Kathy too!) at Tenino and Lake Cushman, his gentle laugh and calm presence stayed with us all the way back home. We will always remember those qualities and many more.
