Dear Glenda
Elaine Link told me your husband died. I am so sorry. I've listened to his prayer requests on KACS. It sounded like you found a life mate who treated you well. You deserved it Glenda. Glenda - I am praying for God's peace and comfort. I know that some day all your precious memories will bring you joy. I hope that you'll stop by and say hi to me. Take care and God bless.

I want to express my condolences to Glenda and to Winnie and Wayne. My friend Nancy Thompson sent me the newspaper clipping about Walter's death and I think the obituary gave me a view of the last part of his life that I was glad to read about. I remember coming home from college and having visits with him about what he was photographing in Viet Nam when most of us did not know even where it was. I hope his last days were without pain.

Wally was known to me for most of my life. First, as my oldest brother's best friend when I was just in grade school. After I was married and moved to Tenino for a time, he was always there helping us out. I worked for him at times at "WHO'S". He was always helping us with different things and got us involved with the Skookumchuck Grange. When we moved to Elma, he helped us build an add-on to our home. He took both of my sons' senior pictures which were great. I saw him only occasionally after we moved to Oregon and when I moved back. He will be missed by so many. He was special and I know God needed an extra angel so called him home. My deep condolences to you, Glenda and all of your family.

Gerry and I are sorry we were unable to attend the services.
Walt was a very good friend and I will miss him. I have a lot of good memories to keep him alive for me and hope that as the days pass I will not forget him. He has been on my mind of late, even before he passed away. I can say that he was the only true Friend that I ever had. We were always there for each other.
Sincerely Ron and Gerri Riggen

I treasure the friendship that Walt provided at a difficult time in my life. He was always ready to help a friend and he help get me a job at the corner grocery when Steve owned it. I was glad to provide food for his parents 50th anniversary. Walt also ran trail rides from my land in Bucoda. My youngest daughter Tracy Ahrens was his boss at Jack in the Box-and he let her know that we were friends. I now live in Haines City Fl. so couldn't make it for the services, but want you to know that Walt will be missed by all

I've known Walt for a lonnnng time, back to the days of Who's? and kept in touch by email since moving from Tenino in 2001. He did so much for so many; he will certainly be missed. My prayers are with you and your family. I know what it's like to lose a spouse, so, if there's anything I can so from so far away, besides sending my prayers and thoughts, please let me know.
