I had the great pleasure of working with Fran at JK Gill from 1975 to 1978. I learned a lot from her, as I was just out of high school. We had long talks when there were no customers in the store. She was a wonderful woman, I am so sorry for your loss.

Jan and Judy were good friends since grade school days. Everyone has fond memories of this "special" lady. She always welcomed the neighbor kids (and any others, too) to her warm and friendly home. I'll always remember the famous Sadie butter cookies - I never could get the recipe right - she had the magic touch! She will be missed!

I'm sorry for submitting this so late but I just learned of the site. I had the honor and the pleasure to meet your dear mom in March 1989. I was spending the month in Olympia visiting with my aunt, Carol Curnutt. Aunt Carol made sure that I met her dear friend Fran while I was there. What a lovely woman she was. She made a beautiful scarf with beads on the tips to give to me before I left for home. I still have that scarf.
My deepest and sincerest sympathies to you all at the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. May you find strength and comfort through faith and through your memories.

Many years back I met Fran through her son Jeff. Again several years ago our paths crossed. When I ask her how Jeff was doing she just beamed with pride! and I remember her saying how fortunate she was to have such a great bunch of kids. She was a super nice and caring person!
Jeff, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family, I know you made your Mom proud.
God Bless,
Mark

I have many good and wonderful memories of Frances because of my friendship with Janice and Judy. She always made us teens welcome in her home. Always a smile on her face even though we probably helped give her gray hairs as most teens do. Wonderful lady and I know she will have great company where she has gone. My mom is up there probably playing bingo with my grandmother. Frances can now join them knowing she has many friends there waiting for her.
