Obituary of Frances Ness

Prior to service 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Frances Ness Frances Ness, 85, passed away January 20, 2012 in Lacey, Washington. She was born December 5, 1926 to Fred and Emma Roloff in Ralston, Washington. Frances moved to Olympia, Washington in 1927, and graduated from Olympia High School. She married the love of her life, Arlen Ness, on July 8, 1950 at Gull Harbor Lutheran Church in Olympia. Frances worked as a key punch operator and clerical support for the Washington State Department of General Administration. She loved spending time with her family, nature (trees, mountains and wild animals), playing the piano, music, dancing, shopping and collecting—especially all things depicting cats. She also loved dressing in leopard print clothing. Frances is survived by son Terry Ness; grandchildren, Olivia Ness and Karen Jorgenson; a great grandchild due in March; and brothers, Ed Roloff and Melvin Roloff.
