Obituary of Roy Leon Nelson

There will be a public viewing at Funeral Alternative of Washington 2830 Willamette Dr. NE, Suite G, Lacey, Wa 98516 on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Roy Leon Nelson passed away November 2, 2010 in Olympia, Washington peacefully from the loving arms of his family to his loving arms of his father in heaven. Roy was born February 17, 1969 in Ephrata, Washington to Sharon Nelson and Irwina Williams Nelson. He was preceded in death by his older brother Ronnie Nelson. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Tina Sue Rhodes Nelson married on July 4, 1987. His 3 sons Daniel Nelson 22 of Elma, Darren Nelson 23 of Elma, Devon Nelson 21 of Olympia, and 3 daughters Lacie Nelson Brooks (Adam) 19 of Onion Creek, Crystal Nelson 16 of Olympia and Ashley Nelson 11 of Olympia. Also His 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Shannon Nelson (Marty) Ephrata, Gary Nelson (Beverly) Northport, Vonn Nelson (Dawn) Tacoma, Klista Garcia (Rodrigo) between Warden Washington and Mexico, Allen Nelson (Turi) Yakima, Kolene Brooks (Scott) Richland, Tammy Bellew (Philip) Satsop, Ti Nelson of Pasco, and Parents Sharon and Irwina Nelson of Brady, Washington. He has numerous nieces and nephews a long with 1 grandchild. Roy's favorite hobbies where watching and sailing sail boats off the sound, and camping in RV’s. He was also known for his willingness to stop and help anyone in need whether it was his family or a stranger, he was fun loving and could sell ice to an Eskimo.
