Obituary of Robert Mullins

No visitation Robert “Bill” Mullins 4/20/1940 – 7/1/2007 Bill was taken too quickly from us, due to a tractor-rollover accident. He was born to Grover and Letha Mullins (both deceased), in Wesley, Arkansas. He graduated from Adna High School in 1958. He was a retired Ironworker from Alaska (Local 751), and he started and owned Alaska State Steel. He later met and married Sandy Tate, and they made their home in Salkum, on the Cowlitz River. Bill was a proud member of the National Guard, 1959 to 1962. He loved fishing, and was also a highly competitive snowmobile racer in Alaska. He was a hard-working man, loved being outside and working on his property. He also enjoyed his garden. It was his special place to talk to God. He loved animals, especially his four dogs. He was a kind and loving man, and enjoyed helping others. He loved Bible Study with the Shepherd’s Chapel Church. He was an avid reader and was a big Nascar fan. Survived by his wife, Sandy Mullins, of Salkum; daughters, Robin Mullins of Federal Way, April Mullins of Eagle River, AK; stepdaughter, Janine Sanderson (Mike) of Tacoma; sister, Virginia Aldrich (Floyd), of Chehalis; grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, and Allie Montechelle, Shelby, Kurt, and Nicole Lanphere; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Autumn Montechelle; nephews and nieces, Michael Aldrich, Leilani Lantz, Elizabeth Aldrich, and Timothy Aldrich, Ricky Mullins and Shawn Mullins. Bill was preceded in death by; infant daughter, Tracy Marie; brother, Ronald Mullins (Bobbie); and nephew, Dean Mullins. Services will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1278 State Route 505, Toledo WA 98591.
