Obituary of Lia A. Lucchesi Mori

Lia A. Lucchesi Mori, 82, a 7 year resident of Olympia, died Sunday, May 15, 2005. She was born February 15, 1923 in Tacoma to Amedeo and Lina (Niccoli) Lucchesi. She attended Holy Rosary and Aquinas Academy in Tacoma and was a graduate of Central Washington University. In September 1948, Lia married Foster Mori in Tacoma. She taught kindergarten in Bellevue and Tucson, Arizona. While living in California, she worked for the Area Agency on Aging. Her first priorities were her children, grandchildren, and friends. Lia enjoyed reading (especially mysteries), history, walking, nature, animals, and music. She held membership in the Newcomers Club, Olympia Garden Club, Questors, and volunteered with and contributed to the Salvation Army. Lia is survived by two daughters, Andria Mori and Lidia Mori; one son, Christopher Mori; and two grandchildren, Daniel Luecke and Nicolas Mori. She will be dearly missed.
