Obituary of Robert Lowell Morgan

5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, May 30, 2005 Masonic Center 521 North Street SE, Tumwater ROBERT L. MORGAN Robert L. Morgan, 88, of Olympia, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at his home next to his loving wife, Jo. Mr. Morgan was born October 2, 1916 in Miles City, Montana to John and Martha (Albright) Morgan. He graduated from Commerce High School in Portland, Oregon and later the University of Nebraska attending on a football scholarship. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was stationed in Guam and was a part of the Japan Air Offensive. On July 13, 1961 in Shelton, he married Julainne "Jo" Zinn who survives. He worked as a conductor and brakeman for forty years with the Union Pacific Railroad. He later become a realtor and worked for 3 City Realty and Hodges Real Estate. Bob loved to golf and had the distinction of having two holes in one. He also enjoyed bowling and held memberships in the Capital City Golf Club and the Moose Lodge. His joy in life was his family and his grandson,John who was the apple of his eye. He is survived by his wife, Julainne "Jo", his son, Robert Kildow, of Hawaii; his daughter, Renee Curtis, of Los Angeles, California; his sister, Betty Haug, of Aloha, Oregon, and one grandson, John. Bob was preceded in death by his stepson, Dennis Erickson and also his grandson, Sid Erickson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dennis Erickson Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Mary Odell, 391 Lavinia Lane, Wapato, Washington, 98951, or to Providence Soundhomecare Hospice, 3432 South Bay Rd., Olympia, WA 98506.
