Obituary of Gabe Morales

Sunday July 27, 2008 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Masonic Center 455 North St. SE Tumwater Access is off of Cleveland Ave. Gabe Morales Gaberiel Eugene “Gabe” Morales was born prematurely on March 2, 1994 in Tacoma, Washington to Henry and Dianna Morales of Olympia. Gabe joined two older brothers Jesse and Patrick, and quickly became the focus of love and attention for everyone around him. He brought with him a quick smile and an infectious laugh that touched all who were fortunate enough to know him. Gabe grew up in Olympia and attended elementary school at McLane Elementary and had just graduated 8th grade from Jefferson Middle School. Most of all, Gabe had a an unquenchable zest for life and enjoyed many fun activities including, long walks outside, Bloomsday and Lakefair, laughter and jokes, his family, listening to music, he loved school – especially choir, media class and the interaction with his peers. He also loved going on trips to the Dollar Store, Grocery Outlet and Vics Pizza. Woody and Buzz Lightyear were his favorite toys. Gabe spent a great deal of time over the past two years at Children’s Hospital in Seattle and loved the attention he got from the doctors and nurses that formed into strong personal bonds. He enjoyed the visiting clowns and dogs, the music therapy and the many volunteers at Children’s. Child Life comforted him with many fun toys, games and companionship. Gabe leaves behind his parents, Henry and Dianna; his brothers Jesse and Patrick; his Grandparents; and his beloved Nurse/second Mom Susan Holt. Gabe slipped away on July 21, 2008 and We all miss him terribly, but are comforted by knowing he is no longer restricted by his earthly body. He is our ‘Miracle’! “Safe Journey Sweet Gabe.” Family suggests memorial donations to Ronald MacDonald House or Children's Hospital in Seattle.
