Obituary of Mary E. Moore

Mary E. Moore, a resident of Olympia for 20 years, died at her home on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. She was born June 10, 1942 in Shelby, Ohio to Paul and Marie (Ryan) Clady. Mary was raised in Shelby and graduated from high school there in 1960. She was married to Terry Moore for 23 years, with whom she had two children. In September of 1983 she met and fell in love with her long time partner, Mary Ann Murphy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mary had worked as a secretary in both the legal and medical fields. She was a gourmet cook, avid reader, loved gardening and supported seven different animal groups. Her memberships included PAWS, ASPCA, IAWF, WWF, Wolfhaven and the Humane Society. In addition to her partner, she is survived by her son, Joseph Moore of Olympia, daughter, Julia Hinrichs and her husband Todd of Olympia. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2006, at the Sunwood Lakes Club House in Olympia.
