Obituary of Korreen Montgomery

No visitation Korreen Montgomery Korreen Montgomery, 30, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at the Ashley House in Olympia, Wash. as the result of complications following an automobile accident 17 years ago that left her is a coma. She was born February 17, 1977 in Spokane, Wash. Korreen attended Cooper Elementary and Shaw Middle School in Spokane. She had moved to Selah, Washington in 1991, then to Olympia following her accident. She enjoyed music, dancing, poetry, swimming, riding bikes, shopping and spending time with her family. Korreen is a descendent of the Nez Perce Tribe. She was active in Awanna Nights and Bible study with her church. She is survived by her mother, Debra A. Montgomery-Guhlke and step-father, Jake Guhlke; sisters, Kolleen Montgomery and Belinda Shoaf; grandparents, Patricia Pablo, Cleve Montgomery, Ben and Catherine Vickner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be laid to rest at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane, Wash. Any memorial donations in her honor are suggested to: Ashley House, 4012 Wiggins Rd. SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Korreen’s family would like to extend thanks and appreciation to all Ashley House staff who were like a second family to her and shared her last remaining years with her and gave her care and love.
