Obituary of Lois Irene Mix

No Visitation is planned Lois was born May 27, 1937 in North Bend, Oregon to Ted and Connie (Knight) Lund. On August 31, 1957 Lois married Frederick L. (Les) Mix in Yachats, Oregon.Over the years Lois worked as a Newspaper Typesetter, housewife and mother of 4, and food service for the Shelton School District for 20 years before retiring. When not hard at work, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden and traveling in her RV to Caves across America with her husband. Later in life she played pinochle and bingo at the Senior Center, and enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Lois was an active member in her community with memberships in the Puyallup Salvation Army Senior Center, Puyallup Senior Center and the Rainier View Christian Church. Lois is survived by her son Ralph (Julie) Mix of Puyallup, Washington; 3 daughters, Sherri (Carl) Jones of St. Helens, Oregon, Leslie (Matt) Muldoon of Tigard, Oregon and Barbara Mix of Tumwater, Washington; 2 brothers, Wayne (Alicia) Lund of San Antonio, Texas and Darrel (Cheryl) Lund of Eugene, Oregon; her mother Connie Hunter of Waldport, Oregon; five grandsons, Kyle Mix, Ethan Muldoon, Ralph Mix II, David Jones, Jeff Jones; and two great grandsons, Bradley Jones and Ethan Jones. Preceding Lois in death are her husband Les Mix and her father Ted Lund. Family is planning a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2009, Rainier View Christian Church, 12305 Spanaway Loop Road South, Tacoma, WA 98444. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Lois’s name to Rainier View Christian Church – either Youth Missions or the Together Campaign.
