Obituary of Donald E. Mirk

Donald Eugene Mirk Donald Eugene Mirk, born July 31, 1928, passed away on December 22, 2008. Don spent the last 22 years living in Olympia with his family. He was born in West Seattle and graduated from Highline High School. After serving in the Air Force, he received his Jurisdoctorate from the University of Washington. Don worked many years as City Attorney for Kent and then Puyallup. He also served as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Puyallup. After retiring he protemed for Thurston County District Court. Don was an avid golfer and an active member of the West Seattle High School Monogram Club. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and brought joy and love to all who knew him. His surviving family members include his wife, Barbara (BJ) Mirk; his son, Bradley Mirk; two daughters, Heather Rowton and Sarah Naqvi; and 5 grandchildren: Kelsey, Jordan, and Abby Mirk, Tanner Rowton and Ameer Naqvi; also surviving Don are his sister, Lynn Deauville and brother, Robert Mirk. He will be loved forever and missed by all of them. To those who knew him, know that he treasured you. To those closest to him, please honor his memory by celebrating his life. Don – you will be missed and forever in our hearts. A Memorial Service will be held at the Masonic Center, 455 North St SE, Tumwater at 1:00 p.m. on December 31, 2008.
