Obituary of Rolland Mickelson

NA Rolland “Mike” Mickelson Mike Mickelson, 75, of Shelton passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 17, 2012 with family by his side. Mike proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Afterwards, he worked for the Department of Transportation as a consultant providing right-of-way in Washington. Mike was a political activist. He also loved music and played the accordion and piano. He brought music into many people’s lives. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his four children, sons Garry and Robin Mickelson, and DeWayne Mickelson; and daughters Shelly Willis and Chris Frasier. He is also survived by his sister Leann Dahl and her family; his grandchildren Matt, Kaite, and Liz, and his beloved dog Pepper, and many other family and friends. A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Schmidt House (330 Schmidt Place SW Tumwater WA 98501. Family suggests memorial donations be made to Family Education & Support Services (1202 Black Lake Blvd Ste B Olympia WA 98502).
