Kathleen and I were pregnant at the same time (her with Megan, me with Allie). Friends at IBM held a baby shower for both of us. I had already delivered Allie, and Kathleen was VERY READY to deliver. She looked at Allie and said, "I just can't wait....." last spring, watching our girls play soccer, we talked about that. She was full of joy, a lovely person, a great Mom. We'll miss her.

Kathleen was a bright spot any day I saw her at IBM. She always wore a smile. She will be missed. I don't know how they will ever run the place without her. Jack

Kathleen was an inspriration to everyone. A professional role model and great mentor. I appreciate her friendship and "motherly" advice over the years. She welcomed me to Seattle and IBM 10 years ago and her support will never be forgotten.

Wow, What can I say about a wonderful woman of God that I truely admired. Kathleen was always positive with me and I always left more knowledgable than before I spoke with her. I learned some good family practices that I have used in my home and I think of Kathleen each time they are practiced. The few activities that we co-chaired, I was impressed that she listened and we actually used my ideas. I learned alot from her and I thank God that He allowed us to be in the same area at the same time to know each other. Dan, three years ago 3/22/03 my father of 74 years died. I enjoyed him and learned from him so much. I keep reminding myself that I am the one feeling lonely, but he is the one with a new glorified body up in Heaven. Kathleen is in a better place rejoicing and it only makes going to Heaven that much better . My prayers are with you and your family ,and I really know how you feel. Time has healed my sadness, but I get on the computer and still type letters to my Dad and brother ( he died 4 years ago=at 47 years) and it takes alot of my sadness away . Give it a try it might work for you.

I knew Kathleen from Gideon's Torch Sunday School class. Kathleen was a role model for humility, grace, hope, and faith. Her face radiated the love of the Lord. What a legacy she left for us! I pray for peace and comfort for Dan, Megan and Laura, and for Kathleen's family. May God be with you all.
In sympathy, a fellow servant of the Lord,
Diane Smith

What a schock to see Kathleens obituary in the Ellensburg paper. We are so sorry that we have lost touch with you folks, it wouldn't have changed anything, but we certainly could have been suppostive, as we have always considered you family. Our love, prayers and hearts go out to you.
