Obituary of Charles Melchior

Charles Melchior Charles Melchior, 88 of Renton, died April 12, 2008. Charles was born November 30, 1919 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He served in the Navy 1944 – 1946, and retired from Boeing after 30 years of service as a Precision Machinist. His love for life was his family, friends and playing his guitar. He played his guitar for 80 years of his life and spent his final years playing in the Hanky Panky Band, entertaining seniors and the young at heart. Charles is survived by three children, Bob Melchior (wife Cheryl, son Mike Melchior, daughter Torina Gent), Rich Melchior (wife Gloria, son Anthony Melchior), Vicki Bertero (daughter Lisa Fanning, son Mark Fanning), and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Vivian Melchior, son, Ron Melchior, and grandson, Scott Fanning. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 18th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 416 S. 4th Street, Renton, WA. Donations may be made to Hospice.
