Obituary of James Stacey McMahan

James Stacey "Jimmy Jack" McMahan Born October 19, 1992 to Vera Darlene (Steele) Johnson and Terry Jack McMahan in Chico, CA. Lived in California and Washington State with Fred Bailey and Connie Bogdanovich of Rochester and John and Kim Steele of Ephrata, WA. Died December 26, 2008 in Rochester, WA. James worked as a lifeguard at Great Wolf Lodge and also at Aeropostale and maintained a 3.45 GPA. He was a Konkow Maidu Indian enrolled in the Enterprise Rancheria of Oroville, CA and very active in his heritage. He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Jack McMahan of Sutter, Califoria and his maternal grandparents, Eugene Marshall Steele Sr. of Oroville, CA and Lowie Carolyn (Staggs) Steele of Richland, WA; and his aunt, Marsha Jean Steele of Lacey, Washington; and his godfather and namesake, James Stacy Griggs of Marysville, California. He is survived by his mother, Vera Johnson of Oroville, California; his brothers, John Kline of Marysville, California and Patrick McMahan of Sacramento, California; his sisters, Danielle (Roberson) Comer, Shasta Flotka, Elisha English, and Marisia English all of Oroville, California; his grandmother, Helen McMahan of Sacramento, California; his nephews, George Comer and Guadalupe Lopez of Oroville, California; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial fund has been set up at Washington State Employees Credit Union in James' name.
