Obituary of Wayne McLain

Wayne McLain Wayne was born March 27, 1930, in Hale Center, Texas, to Opal and Ollie McLain. He shared 56 years of marriage with the love of his life, Reva Jean Wiltrout, who preceded him in death in 2004. Wayne worked for Boise Cascade in Independence, Oregon, for 26 years. He is survived by children, Teresa Atwood, Olympia, WA; Chuck McLain, Salem, OR; Donald and Char McLain, Olympia, WA. He has 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, David Garrison, Willamina, OR. Wayne loved the Lord, people, eating, hunting, fishing, and his family. He could repeat every joke he ever heard and loved to share stories from his childhood and many hunting and fishing trips. He had a smile for everyone he met, and when asked how he was, he would always reply, “Utterly Super Fantastically Fine and getting better every day!” We feel honored and blessed to have had such a wonderful man in our lives as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
