Michael David McGinnis In loving memory of Michael David McGinnis, who died in his home in the care of his family May 5, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mike was born January 29, 1953, in Belle Fourche, SD, to Paul W. and Irma McGinnis. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; their children, Nicole, Hayley and William; his sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Paula Burrill of Castle Rock, CO; brother, Daniel McGinnis of Belle Fourche, SD; 2 nieces, 4 nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins in Belle Fourche and across the country; as well as many loving friends, colleagues and his dog, Sammy. He graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1971 and attended South Dakota State University, earning a degree as a Natural Resource Biologist. He was proud of his work preserving Salmon runs and improving water quality in the rivers throughout western Washington during his work at the Chehalis Tribe and most recently the Shoalwater Bay Tribe. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. His passion was God's creation and he loved to spend his free time outdoors. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 10000 Hwy 12 SW, Rochester, WA.
