Obituary of Elizabeth L. McEvers

ELIZABETH L. (BETTY) McEVERS ,82, died Saturday June 19th following an extended illness. Betty was born May 3, 1922 to J.E. and G.M. Burke in Yakima, Washington. She moved to Olympia at a young age and resided there until her death. She was married on July 10, 1944 to F.H. (Mac) McEvers. He preceded her in death as did her son, Michael. She is survived by two daughters; Billie McEvers and Mary Whitford (Phil); her brother, Bill Burke; four grandsons and four great grandchildren. Betty was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered for that and her love to reminisce and share stories of her past. Betty enjoyed camping with her friends and flying kites at Kalaloch. She had many friends and will be missed by everyone whose lives were touched by her beautiful spirit. She was kind and unselfish and always thought of others before herself. At Betty’s request, there will be no funeral service.
