Obituary of Lois P. McCann

Lois P. McCann Lois Pearl McCann, 89, of Lacey passed away February 28, 2011, at Shelton Health and Rehabilitation Ctr., where she had been a resident for the last 4 ½ years. Lois was born June 11, 1921 in Batchtown, IL, to William and Maude (Ames) Turner. She married Clarence “Mac” McCann in Hartford, IL, on February 15, 1941, and together they raised two children Sharon and Steven. Lois worked for the Western Cartridge Company, Sears and Roebuck, and the State of Washington, Dept. of Licensing and the Attorney General’s office, from which she retired in 1981. After retirement, Lois and her daughter made annual trips to Reno. Lois was a league bowler at the Bowl in Lacey for many years. She also enjoyed oil painting. Her family will treasure her paintings for many years to come. Lois had a fantastic sense of humor that will be missed by all that knew her. Lois is survived by daughter, Sharon (Bob) Jamison of Tumwater; son, Steven McCann of Lakewood; three grandchildren, Diana McCutcheon, Jayme (Wendy) McCann and Rich McCann; five great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Landrey McCann, Taylor and Brady Nicholson and Mariah Philley. She is also survived by her beloved puppy Buddy. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers William Forest Turner, Norman Woodrow Turner, Elmer Ames Turner and sister, Juanita Fern Copeland.
