Obituary of Patricia McBride

11am to 12:45pm Wednesday, December 19th at the Masonic Center. Patricia J. McBride Patricia J. McBride, 76, a lifelong resident of Johnson Point, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at St. Peter Hospital. She was born September 6, 1931 in Olympia to W. Harold and Ramona (L’Heureux) Rambo. She attended South Bay (Grades 1-8), Washington Jr. High School (Grade 9) and graduated from Olympia High School in the class of 1949. Following high school she worked for state government and was the Dispatcher at the Division of Forestry compound on Martin Way. On April 2, 1955 Patricia married Malcolm A. McBride of Nisqually. She worked at Melrose Nursery and later Briggs Nursery where she learned to grow and care for rhododendrons and azaleas. She was an expert gardener and her great joy was to nurse an injured or sickly plant back to health. Patricia was devoted to her home and family. She is survived by her sons, Robert B. McBride and Mark A. McBride of Johnson Point; grandsons, Brent, Patrick, Paul, and Nickolas; brother, William H. (Marylin) Rambo, of Bellevue; and sister, Carole L. (Darrell) Holt of Johnson Point; and three nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Malcolm A. McBride on July 10, 2003.
