Obituary of Eugene Marelius

Eugene “Gene” F. Marelius Sr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 23, 2008.Gene was born August 6th, 1926 in Williston, North Dakota to Francis and Edith Marelius. He moved with his family to the Olympia area when he was a young boy. Gene served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He married Marvel Thomson July 25, 1946. They moved to Montana in 1982 and lived in many beautiful spots for over 20 years. He was a building contractor and land developer in Thurston County and many parts of Montana. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Montana and vacationing with his family. He is survived by his wife, Marvel, daughter, Sherry Kerrihard, sister Pat Shogren, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great- grandchildren. His two sons, Gene Jr. and Gerald preceded him in death.
