Obituary of David Bryan Magness

David Bryan Magness passed away at home Monday Dec.14th, 2009. He was born in McMinnville, Oregon on Sept. 4 1940 to Gilbert E. and Jeanette Bryan Magness Dave graduated from Glide (Oregon) Hign School in 1958. He married Velma Farmer, they later divorced. David moved to Portland and married Judy Carpenter in 1971. In 1980 the family moved to Olympia Wa. where Dave worked for Lacey Plywood. He and Judy later purchased and operated Washington Gardens.Dave is survived by his wife Judy, two sons, David (Lisa) Magness Bend, Oregon, Darren Magness Menafee, Ca.; daughter Sherie (Ryan)Miller Olympia WA; two sisters Pauline (Bill) McGinty and Norma(Chuck) Wallace; brother, Gilbert (Alex) Magness; 4 grandchildren, Jake Magness, Hannah Maddie and Brodie Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was an avid reader and loved to discuss politics. He loved his family and friends and camping in Glide. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Providence Soundhome Hospice.
