Grandpa-
I told you I would not say "goodbye" but "see you later" the last time I got to see you. I also told you how much I love you. I knew it was your time to go. I have been missing you and remembering all the good times-there were many. Now you can be at peace and free to truly watch the birds in the sky! I am glad you got to meet Coltyn. He will always be a part of you since his middle name is so special after two special men in his life-James. I love you!!

My Great Uncle Will would make a joke, and your Dr Lux would get this smile on his face. Not a laugh, just a nice big grin then he would look over at me. Like he knew what Uncle Will was doing, and he thought it was cute.
Never knew that he was a great outdoors man, but then after i met his daughter, I knew that he had done something right. And this was from just knowing one of them.
Know that the family is in my prayers and hearts as we the people of Oly will miss him also.
Love to all Mary benton

DEAR LUX FAMILY (JIM),
OVER 35 YEARS AGO I WORKED AT ST PETER'S HOSPITAL, IN MEDICAL RECORDS AND I HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE TO HAVE A DEAR FRIEND IN JIM LUX.
HE WOULD COME TO SEE ME DAILY AND I WOULD ALWAYS GIVE HIM A BAD TIME ABOUT SIGNING OFF ON HIS CHARTS. (PAPERWORK WAS NOT HIS FORTE)
WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY DAUGHTER MLISSA, (NOW 33) JIM WOULD COME TO VISIT ME EVERY DAY JUST TO MAKE SURE I WAS OK. THE DAY I WENT INTO LABOR, JIM WAS ONE OF THE FIRST I CALLED, NEXT THING I KNEW, HE WAS RIGHT THERE HOLDING MY HAND, WHILE MY FATHER AND MLISSA'S DAD (WALTER) WERE ABOUT READY TO PASS OUT! I HAVE SUCH FOND MEMORIES OF YOUR FATHER.
HE WAS A SWEET, KIND, GENTLE MAN WITH A DEVOTION TO MEDICINE, HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE BECAUSE OF JIM.
MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

I have not seen any of you since we were all kids, and the last time I saw Uncle Jim was probably 25 years ago, but do have occassion to think of you all from time to time and wonder how you are and what you are doing. I was very sad when I heard from my dad that Uncle Jim had died. I've heard many stories of him and his brothers growing up in New York. He's certainly embedded in the Lux family history. It would be nice to know the Washington part of that history someday. My thought are with you.

I am a new patient of Sarah Lux and feel fortunate. The pharmacist George was saying such wonderful things about your Dad and telling me what a great doctor he was and you have followed in his footsteps. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time. It sounds like you have had an incredible life with a wonderful person.

Dr. Lux was a very kind and generous man that visited us on a regular basis. Annually he would pick up recognition cards from us so that he could send donations to us in the name of his children and family. We will miss his sweet smile and kind manner. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this time of loss. We have posted his obituary in our office for all of our visitors to read about this kind man. Warmly, SafePlace Staff, Board and Volunteers

Dear Lux family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I have always stated that a fathers love is so special. And by the words used to describe the man he was, I can truly see he was indeed special.
I went to school with Sarah, and I will always remember how kind and approachable she was. It was no doubt a trait her dear father taught her at a young age.
May God be close to you all.

Your words are so correct when you talk abut your Father. He was a kind and gentle man, caring and fun. Dr. Lux was our family's Dr. for so many years I cannot count. Starting from my Grandmother- Blanche (MEME)Chastain to my mother-Doris and Harold Skinner, to my Aunt -Iris and Jimmy Lathrop to myself-Sharon Gove. He listened and he cared. I think of him often and now I will miss him more. I was on Delphi road yesterday Tues and I almost went to see him--I was to late. I am so sorry for your loss and wish you and your family's comfort in knowing- we his patients and his friends (he was family to me) will miss him also.
I for one will go listen to the birds and the beauty of life, and shed some tears for your Dad..............................
With Deepest Sympthony--Sharon Gove
