Obituary of Thresia Virginia Long

Thresia Virginia Long Thresia Virginia Long of Ronan Montana passed away in Olymipa, Washington. Born in Billings, MT on March 13, 1912 and went to heaven on September 25, 2008. She is the fifth of twelve children born to Marion Nelson and Jessie (Yearns) Nelson and was the last of the twelve Nelson children to enter heaven. Husband Chester B. Long preceded her in death in 1972. Thresia was a loving mother to seven children; five children: Marjorie, Louise, Raymond, Rose Marie and Ralph all preceded her to heaven. She is survived by son Ken and daughter Yvonne. Chester Long's children; survived by son George and daughter Jean. Thresia has well over one hundred Grand, Great-Grand and Great-Great Grand Children. The family moved to Charlo in the fall of 1951, and then to Ronan in 1954. Chester and Thresia were married in June of 1954. Thresia worked at the Ronan cafe for several years and then delivered a rural route for the U.S Postal Service for 15 years; she retired in 1972. She lived in Ronan until May of 2008 when she moved to Washington. Services were held in Lakewood, WA on September 29, 2008 and graveside will be held Wednesday October 1, 2008 at 11:00 am at Ronan Cemetery.
