Obituary of Mabel Simon Lister

Mabel Simon Lister Mabel S. Lister, 105, of Olympia Washington, passed away on November 7, 2007. Mabel was born January 1, 1902 in Hillsdale New Jersey to John and Mary (Ackerson) Simon. Mabel married Harold Gladstone Lister of Westwood, New Jersey on April 30, 1924. They were married 29 years before his death on Christmas Day, 1953. Mabel was a member of the United Methodist Church for 75 years, where she was active in many women’s groups within the church. She sold and collected antiques and enjoyed playing cards, particularly bridge. Mabel is survived by her son, Richard H.(Nancy) Lister; grandsons Steven H. Lister, Lloyd (Karyn) Allen; granddaughter, Lynn Ann (Chris) Janisch; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G.
