Obituary of Norman Lininger

Norman E. Lininger, 84, resident of Oakville, passed away at Providence Centralia Hospital on September 26, 2010. Norman was born August 11, 1926 in Chehalis to Leslie and Elmi Lininger. He attended school in Adna and Chehalis. Norman then served his country in the US Navy – Pacific Fleet onboard the USS Garrard, August 1944 – June 1946. In July of 1959 he married Jeanette M. Hinen. He worked as a logger and in later years as a truck driver. Norman enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in his later years enjoyed visiting the Casinos. He was a member of Eagles Lodge # 564, Tenino since 1973.Surviving Norman are his wife Jeanette; sons, Jack (Yvaughn) Tomkins of Eugene, Oregon, Dennis (Jacklen) Lininger, Oakville, Washington, Mark (Shannon) Lininger, Centralia, Washington; daughter, Norma Jean (Steve) Murray of Redmond, Washington; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Edith Cabe of Centralia, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Lininger; a brother Lloyd (Blackie) Lininger; and sisters, Carrie Anna Kinsey and Margaret Maki.
