Hey there my little brother, I miss you so much. You just recently had another birthday and you would have been 20. I think about what you would be doing and who you would be today. I really wish I would have been around more. I love and miss you so much. Happy belated Birthday.

I met Cherokee in a group with my daughter at BHR and was immediately drawn to his shy, quiet, polite demeanor and smile. He was always there alone and I always felt badly for him for that. Cherokee, you will always be missed and loved. How I wish you could have had a much longer, fuller life! Rest in peace son.

when I close my eyes I see the sweet little man that had so much energy and love. I never got to know the man you became, but if you left the world with all the unconditional love from your brother and that amazing crisma of your mother if its possible to make heaven more perfect that sweet little boy will do it-sending love the whole family in loss

Dear Minnie,
After returning from vacation, I was reading last week's paper when I saw Cherokee's obituary. I think you'll remember us from our family group at BHR. We enjoyed getting to know Cherokee and you so much. I know how much you loved your son, that was obvious and my heart breaks for you and the rest of your family. We're just sick. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and with Cherokee. I have no idea what on earth could have happened but I know that Cherokee is in a beautiful place and that he will rest in peace. Take good care and God Bless you.

Thanks for the laughter and compassion that you brought to our classroom. Your doodle art always fascinated me and sometimes was questionable, but you were always upfront about it. You will be remembered as one of our greatest students. I am sad to be saying goodbye, but you will always live in my heart. Thanks for being you!

Cherokee, there are not words to describe how i feel right now...i will miss you more than anyone will ever know. i will never forget all the crazy-fun times we had...or all the times we got in trouble together ;) But no matter what, in life or death we will always be best friends. i wish i could have had a chance to see u again...there is so much i would have said. my only hope is that you truly are in a better place and that one day we will meet again. know that you are greatly missed and will never be forgotten. be at peace. i love you.

Cherokee, I will remember your great smile and your sensitivity. You were much too young to leave us, but we will remember you with laughter and joy. You are one of those students that made a lasting impression on my heart. Rest in peace.
