Mary Louise Bullock-Lessley January 10th, 1949 – November 3rd, 2007 Mary Louise Bullock-Lessley passed away peacefully on Saturday November 3rd, 2007 from complications of a brain tumor. She was 58 years old. Mary was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon January 10th, 1949 to Ester Adkins-Bullock and Robert S. Bullock. She was the youngest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta in 1962, both parents, and grandparents. Mary grew up in Oregon and was raised in Cottage Grove and Forest Grove. In 1967 she graduated high school from Laurelwood Academy. Mary was always a hard working person and spent many of her years working for the State of Washington and taking care of her family. After her time with the state she went into a long career of property management running many apartment complexes until she was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2007. From her first marriage she had two children—Amy who was born in 1972 and John who was born in 1974. She remarried in 1984 to Floyd Richard Lessley. The most important thing and joy of her life was her family. Mary was the most selfless person we knew and always focused on others never putting herself first. Mary is survived by her husband Richard, daughter Amy (Joe), son John (Sara), and five grandchildren—Kyle, Kaila, Jared, Gavin, and Ella. She enjoyed every moment of time she had with her grandchildren. Mary is also survived by five sisters—Janice St John, Joanne Sproul (Richard), Judy Lanter (Dwight), Vicki Johnson (Bob), Bonnie King (Cap), and one Brother Jerry Cody (Jean). She was very much loved and will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held at the Gales Creek Cemetery on Saturday November 17th, 2007 at 12:00 noon. A pot luck will follow at Gales Creek Church Hall. Please leave your memories of Mary and your condolences for the family by clicking on the "view guestbook" link below.
