Floyd C. Leihr Floyd C. Leihr, 81, a twenty-nine year resident of Rainier, Washington, passed away on October 03, 2009 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. Floyd was born January 8, 1928 in Mendenhall, Mississippi to Frederick Heinrick and Mary Edmonia (Lamone) Leihr. On August 12, 1950 in Reno, Nevada he married the former Wanda May Apedaile, who survives. Floyd served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. The couple lived in Sacramento, Sutter Creek, and Ione, California prior to moving to Washington State. Floyd's favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and John Wayne movies. He was a true American Patriot. Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Theresa, Claire and Lore; two brothers, James and Walter; one sister, Maxine; also eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
