Obituary of Marvin Hugh Lawrence

Martin Hugh Lawrence, 63, of Olympia, Washington, died Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Roo-Lan Assisted Living Center. Surviving are ex-wife Nancy Lawrence; daughters, Debbie (Del) Richburg and Sarah (Scott) Johnson; son Matt (Christine) Lawrence, and 11 grandchildren – Jessica, Aliya, Savannah, Riley, Garrett, Austin, Kody, Jake, Kameran, Alex and Logan.Hugh was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 12, 1944, to Elcaney and Addie Ruth Lawrence. He was predeceased by his brother Roy and sisters, Shirley and Geraldine. Hugh grew up in Carthage, Texas before coming to Olympia. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. Hugh enjoyed working with model cars and painting duck decoys. He also enjoyed rebuilding an assortment of motorized and electronic gadgets. A private funeral service for the family will be held at Funeral Alternatives in Tumwater. Remembrances may be made to The American Cancer Society or to The American Heart Association.
