I know she's in a better place now, but I was heartbroken when I heard what happened. I love my Grandma very very much and I'll always have all the wonderful times we spent together when I would visit every summer. I'll always remember everything she did for me...she was always there whenever I needed her and for that I'll be eternally thankful. She was one of the sweetest, funniest, most amazing people I've ever met and I was lucky to have her so close to me in my life. I'll miss her terribly but I'll never ever forget her.

We were happy that Hazel was able to enjoy being near Jim & Deb
in the last year. Hazel was able to make new friends, enjoy her surroundings and Jim had quality time with her.which would have been impossible if she had remained in Wenatchee. She took the move in her usual stride.

It was truly a blessing that Robin and I were together when Jim called to tell us of Hazel's passing. She was such a special part of our lives - all of Robin's 18 years, and 33 years of my life. She was such a kind hearted person who wanted only love from her family and friends. She was always so proud of showing us her treasures. I'm proud to say that she had given me the pretty pink blouse she is wearing in her picture - many years ago. All three of us, Gary, Robin and I would take turns on the phone when she would call or we would call her. She loved to tell the stories of she and Jean in their many years together - and we loved hearing them no matter how often told. We will all miss her terribly. She will be in our hearts forever.

I do miss Aunt Hazel so very much. She was so very, very, special to me as I grew from a very little girl and our visits to the Saturday movies until I grew up and took my children to see her on our trips to Wenatchee and later when times got tough and even the trips to the Doctor's office. She will always be a special part of my life. I miss the nightly phone calls more than I ever thought I would. When we go to Wenatchee our times seem not quite complete without the trips to Fifth Street and the talks. The Monday night times seem so short to reflect on. Lawrence and I remember what a special couple she and Uncle Jean made -- so devoted. She missed him so very much. She will always be a special memory.

I'm so sorry to hear about Hazel's passing. Hazel was my 1st cousin (twice removed). Her father was the brother of my great-grandfather. She sounds like a really great lady, I wish I had had the chance to meet her.
My thoughts and prayers are with Hazel's family.

Dear Jim and Debbie, Both Pam and I were sadden to learn of Hazel's passing. She was a remarkable women, who lived years of love and dedication to family, pets and friends. There is an old Irish saying that goes..."To live in the hearts of those we leave behind, is not to die."
Remembering Hazel..."walking on this road to home."
with Love to you both. Pam and Brett

Dear Jim and Debra,
We were sorry to read about Hazel's death on May 3rd. The notice was in both Denver newspapers and, Mom, just by chance saw the obituary. She said something told her to check that section of the paper. We send our sincere sympathy. Mom certainly enjoyed talking
to Hazel on the phone every once in awhile. Hazel really lived a long
and eventful life and we know you will miss her very much. But now she is at peace and with Jean which is comforting. We will let other family members know of her passing.
Love,
Caroline(oldest daughter of Darlene)

I was honored to be Hazels hairdresser for many years. We became close friends and shared so many of our life stories and laughed and cried together. Hazel was a wonderful person, and I will always remember our good times. She will hold special memories forever in my heart. I will also hold fond memories of Jean. He came and fixed many radios and TV,s in our family homes. HE was the kindest man, and we enjoyed him so much also. Jim and Debbie, may you be comforted at this hard time. Will remember you in my prayers. Pat Davis
