Obituary of Carol Krogstad

Carol Louise Krogstad, 72, went home to be with our Lord on July 22, 2008. She was born in Seattle, WA on September 6, 1935 to Clarence G. and Janet M. (Renton) Chapman. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle with the class of 1953, and attended Antioch College and then Olympic College. Carol and Sigurd Jerome Krogstad were married in Seattle on October 24, 1955.Carol worked as a Nurses Aid for 26 years at Northgate Medical Center and previously Aurora Village for 2 medical doctors. When not working, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, needlework, participation in Bible Study, holiday decorating, especially the Christmas Holiday, baking and entertaining friends and family. Carol also enjoyed vacationing at Lake Wenatchee, where she spent time with her family swimming, water-skiing, boating and fishing. After retirement, Carol and her husband lived in Surprise, AZ from 1996-2002. Carol was a member of several organizations in the Seattle area including Girl Scouts, Rainbow Girls, Calvin Presbyterian Church and later Richmond Beach Lutheran Church. Surviving Carol, are her husband S. Jerome Krogstad of Surprise, AZ; son Eric (Barbara) Krogstad of Buckley, WA; daughter Laurie E. (Dr. Thomas) Golden of Olympia, WA; and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
