I remember a lot of my childhood and you keeping me safe and letting me live with you up until I was 10 years old. I always called you my protector and the best God mother a child could have. I remember the morning we were laying in bed and a bat flew out and we called Kris to come down and take care of it. Thank you for protecting and looking out for me when things were so messed up. Love C

Dear Betty's family... I just now noticed that your mom had passed a couple months after my mom's passing. I always loved being around your mom as I was growing up. Staying at your place while my mom had to work at the telephone company was always a treat. Your mom was always the "fun" mom. Sorry I didn't notice her passing until just now. I will always have fond memories of being part of your family. Betty will always have a special place in my heart. God Bless...
Mel

Dear Family:
We are sorry for the passing of your Mother, and know all of you will miss her very much. Aunt Betty was fun to be around and very easy know and visit with. After she and Uncle Frank married it was always a delight to stay in their home and attend the family reunions they held and attended. Another trait about your Mother which I greatly appreciated was her straight forwardness - there was no mincing of words and she told it as it was.
Your loss is also a loss to all of us, but her personality was such that she will always remain in our memories as someone who made our lives better just by knowing her. Aunt Betty also made our family richer when she became one of us.
Please accept our deep sympathy and know that you are in our thoughts. We send our best regards to all of you.
Sincerely,
The Silvey Family

Mother's Never Die
You have never lost your Mother
Though you've said your last good-byes.
No one's Mother really dies.
If you love to hear the old songs
For the memories that they bring
It's because you had a Mother
Who taught your heart to sing.
If you stop to help a neighbor,
Search your heart and you will find
It's because you had a Mother
Who taught you to be kind.
If you go to church when weary,
Seeking God to guide your way
It's because you had a Mother-
Who taught you to pray.
No--you've never lost your Mother,
Though you've said your last good-byes;
Through your thoughts and deeds she's living-
No one's Mother really dies!
Betty was one of a kind, a very special kind!

Whenever I talked to Betty, she was focused on the love of her family and community. I was fortunate to go on a wonderful trip to Ashland and Crater Lake with Betty and Barb. The plays and outdoor beauty were spectacular, but the most memorable part of the trip was the company of Betty and Barb. I will miss the wisdom, independence, and love of life; which she personified.

Family Members, My sympathies for the lost of Betty. Thank you for sharing this wonderful lady-because of her I am a better person-she taught me how to share myself with others and contribute to society. I will always remember the wonderful smile, caring, girl scout leader, neighbor, and wedding dress loaner. She will never be forgotten. Sincerely, Kathi
