Obituary of Harlan A. Kirchmeier

Harlan Kirchmeier With his family by his side, Harlan Kirchmeier went to be with his Lord on January 30, 2008. He died from complications due to a fall. Harlan was born to Arthur and Esther (Rhineford) Kirchmeier on June 14, 1935 in Olympia. A life long resident of Olympia, he attended Olympia schools, class of 1953. On May 14,1955 he married Bonnie Christianson at the First Christian Church in Olympia. He was a member of IBEW Local 76 since 1959 and an electrical contractor for 23 years before retiring in 1995. Harlan loved the Puget Sound area and all of its many activities. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed spoiling his three grandchildren and his dog Mickey. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons Arthur "Chuck" (Cindi) and Robert (Barb), granddaughters Kierstin and Allison, a grandson David and a sister, Marlene Lindberg. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Weatherford. A celebration of Harlan's life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 8, 2008 at Westwood Baptist Church, 333 Kaiser Road NW, Olympia. Interment will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tumwater.
